“Via de AXIWI headset coacht mijn begeleider mij, met termen als ‘links of rechts’ en ‘links of rechts aanhouden’, van de berg af. My guide also tells me what the slope looks like, where it gets steeper and whether the snow might be icy. The renewed version of the AXIWI AT-320 has a large range; even at a distance of 500 metres we stayed in contact. The sound is clear and the microphone picks up little wind, so my guide is always very well audible. Without this system, it would not be possible to safely do winter sports as a blind or visually impaired person. I am therefore very grateful and I use the AXIWI AT-320 system with great pleasure! In short, highly recommended!”

AXIWI headsets fijne hulpmiddelen voor slechtziende skiërs

As a visually impaired skier and snowboarder, I have been using the AXIWI AT-320 communicatiesysteem with which I am guided on the slopes by a trained guide.

People with a visual impairment cannot see everything or cannot see at all. This makes performing certain activities difficult and in some cases even impossible. In various activities, visually impaired people are helped by a guide. Despite intensive guidance, a guide may need a communication system for better assistance and communication between the guide and the impaired person. In this way, the activity can be carried out optimally.
