The RDM Submarine Wharf in Rotterdam provided the impressive backdrop for SAP NOW / AI Tour 2025: a top event where over 600 international visitors were inspired about digital innovation and artificial intelligence.
But how do you keep twelve parallel sessions intelligible in an industrial hall with steel, concrete, and reverberation – without sounds overlapping?
The challenge proved to be a logistical and technical masterpiece. Promosound, responsible for the complete technical realization of the event, engaged Axitour B.V. as a specialized partner for the audio setup. Their solution: the AXIWI AT-300 system – a wireless communication system enabling hundreds of visitors to listen simultaneously without noise or interference.
Rapid scaling on a large scale
With twelve simultaneous presentations in one space, traditional sound amplification was not an option. The voice amplification from one speaker would directly interfere with the next. Axitour therefore delivered 1,200 AXIWI communication sets – fully charged, configured, and tested – and supported Promosound with the complete logistics and setup.
Each visitor found an AXIWI AT-300 or AT-500 receiver with headset on their chair upon entry. When switching sessions, they only needed to take their headset and plug it into the receiver at the next presentation.

The AXIWI AT-300 and AT-500 system offers multiple channels, duplex communication, and excellent sound quality, even in challenging acoustic environments. With a range of up to 300 meters and integrated noise cancellation, every presentation was delivered clearly – without interference from the other eleven sessions.

The flexibility of the system perfectly matched the dynamic nature of SAP NOW, where visitors could constantly switch between keynotes, break-outs, and demo zones.
